Many injuries, damaged houses near Khoy

At least 120 people were injured in this earthquake, according to latest reports from the Iranian Red Crescent. Due to the quake, which occurred just next to the city of Khoy, multiple houses in nearby villages collapsed. Many were damaged, also in Khoy. Residents were mainly injured while fleeing from their houses. It is expected that the number of injuries will rise. Three months ago, a similar quake of Magnitude 5.4 hit the same area, destroying more than 1000 houses and causing 1200 injuries. It was the highest number of injuries ever recorded in a non-fatal quake.
