This earthquake was felt strongly in towns and cities west of Lake Baykal. In Irkutsk, many residents were woken up by the quake. Windows shook and some people reported fallen items. For the closest towns near the epicenter Kultuk and Sljudjanka we expect at least intensity VI. Minor to moderate damage is likely there but no effects were reported yet.
